Persistent high white cell count – Is there a hidden agenda?

A persistent high white blood cell count is termed leukocytosis. Leukocytosis can be a sign of leukemia, infection, medical illness, or other disease processes. Leukemia occurs due to the uncontrolled production of leukemic cells within the bone marrow or lymphatic system.
